Thorin was born to our girl Dolly in British Columbia, Canada. His Grandma was our Late Tasha & his  Grandpa Neo lived with us to almost 11 years  of age. Thorin will carry on our old lines that we know so well, he has the much needed height for our breed, his temperament is steadfast, amiable and adaptable, he's beautiful inside and out.

 He arrived in the UK on 18.08.2023, we collected him from Heathrow after travelling for two days from his loving family Joe & Ulla at Judges Den in Powell River BC.

I had stayed awake all night watching his live flight updates online, thinking of him in the hold and hoping he was ok. At 12.30pm, his flight came right above our home here in Knypersley, as clear as day, we were so excited.

Our friend Mike & I were greeted at the customs animal facility at Heathrow Airport by this chilled out puppy who had been quietly sleeping after his flight. He had a sniff, wagged his tail and his new adventure began then and there.

What an incredibly chilled out puppy he is, he is fazed by zilch! He's so friendly and amenable, such a pleasure to have with us. We are so grateful to Joe and Ulla at Judges Den, for this beautiful boy who is now very much part of our pack.

We particularly liked the Sire of this litter as he goes back to the lovely Fr Ch. Voulè du Clos Des Gres in Paris, the first Sire we ever used in 2010 for our first litter with Elsa.

Thorin is a tall boy, very similar to our late Aslan, his great Uncle, with whom he shares many characteristics.   His temperament cannot be faulted, he doesn't have a bad bone in his body.  A sensitive boy who needs a lot of love and affection and he thrives in an environment with other dogs. Very friendly and amenable, a wonderful addition to our family.

Thorin is the 9th puppy we have purchased from other breeders, four from the UK and four from Europe. Our experience of the last twelve yers is disappointing, none seem to care about updates, photos or even if they are still alive. No interest in the lives they have lived and how they are doing in general. The breeders at Judges Den we have known for over ten years. They actually care about Thorin, they love him, they are interested in his day to day life; it's wonderful to share his experiences with genuine caring breeders. They care about him, not what he has achieved for their Kennel. Thorin has passed all his health tests for breeding during 2024.

On 15th October 2025, Thorin & Suki became proud parents to 7 little Sukrins 🫶
