Pagency Megsul Tessa

Tessa is our 21st Leonberger to join our family.

Born 21st March 2023 to our Polish imports, Meg & Sultan

Sire: Mr Sultan of Swing Bertusowy Gaj

Dam: Give Me A Royal Princess At Pagency Ginger Heaven

Pedigree

Very much like her Mum Meg, a pretty little girl with a gentle temperament, very amenable and always wants to please.  Tess started ring craft training at 19 weeks old and enjoys working and showing off. She entered her first show at seven months old and qualified for Crufts 2024. She then did us very proud by taking Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts. Our first ever big win in 18 years. The only British home bred top winner on the day. Since then, we have done numerous shows and she has done very well with different handlers who are helping us on our journey. 2024 is proving be quite a success for our little Tess. Alan and I are very grateful for all the help from friends who are handling her for us, we're having a fabulous time. She's now out of Junior and will be amongst the bigger girls in Yearling and Post Graduate classes from now on.

This 15 month old is another with a lot to like. Carrying good bone and pleased in outline with clean neck of correct length to balance, firm topline, nuce spring of rib, muscular loin and correct croup and tail carriage. Nicely balanced head with feminine expression; good planes and ears set on high. Nice layback of shoulder and she stands straight in front bu on good feet but fore chest still to  full develop as you would expect. Not quite rear angulation of winner. Good ground coverage and well handled.

Sweet expression with a good dark mask and dark oval eye, good depth of muzzle and a strong jaw, good neck, correct angulation of the shoulder with straight forelegs and strong pasterns, good depth of chest, would like to see a slightly longer back, a little bum high at the moment and a little upright in rear angulation.

A very feminine bitch, balanced head, length of muzzle equal to top of the skull, neck with slight arch blending into shoulders, firm back, front and rear angulation in proportion without exaggeration, coat not quite in the condition of my winner, lacking in confidence with her handler, holding her head downwards on the move, when she becomes more self assured she will look a different dog.

Midland Counties - 07.09.2023

Critique: MPB 1st Place - A sweet puppy bitch which attracts you to her obvious qualities, she has a really nice head with a delightful expression, I particularly was impressed with her short loin, all she lacks is more confidence, presented in very clean order.
